What can BizLaunch can do for my organisation?

We’re in the business of training, coaching and advising Canadian small business owners operating for less than five years. We help entrepreneurs who are thinking about starting a business, preparing to launch or looking to grow. We serve all ages of entrepreneurs and our advice helps people running any type of small business, be it trades, service, retail, manufacturing or import/export. We’re speaking to you because your organisation likely serves these entrepreneurs and we believe we can contribute to your efforts by contributing the following free resources:
  • Opportunities to co-sponsor BizLaunch Seminars in your area. We’ll attach your name to our free BizLaunch Seminars, invite you to introduce your organization, distribute promotional materials and connect with event guests. There’s no cost to you. If you can’t attend, let us promote your organization for you. It’s a great way to offer quality learning events (without the work!) and build your database.
  • Helpful Small Business How-to Articles and Small Business Success Profiles for your website, newsletter, blog, Facebook page or other publications. We have hundreds of professionally-written content pieces ready to share with you. It works both ways – we can give you stories, as well as write about your entrepreneurs in our articles and media releases to get them some local or national publicity.
  • Media Publicity. BizLaunch actively reaches out to your local media to talk about small business issues, events, and news. As an Affiliate, we’ll involve you in our media activities so that your organization gets some press.
  • Small BizTOOLS. We’ll gladly share any of our popular spreadsheets, PDFs and other documents for distribution to your entrepreneurs or to post on your website. How would our relationship work?

There’s no cost to working with BizLaunch. We're an official service provider under contract to the Ministry of Government Services, which handles all business and corporate filings. Through Cyberbahn, you can check to see if your preferred business name is available, register a name or set up a provincial or federal corporation.

Want to register your Business Name?

If you're setting up shop as a Sole Proprietor or Partnership, you must obtain your Master Business Licence from the Ontario Government. It tells the government you're in business and gets you a Business Number needed to open up other accounts for GST, PST, WSIB and Employer Source Deductions. Registering a Business Name online is easy, inexpensive and convenient - you will receive your Master Business Licence online as a PDF document. Ready to incorporate?

If you plan on incorporating and choosing a name for your new venture, the law requires you to search and reserve your preferred name. Known as Newly Upgraded Automated Name Search (NUANSš), the process searches various government databases of registered business and corporate names to make sure yours is available for use. Once you have cleared your business name (such as 'Take Flight Services Company Inc.'), Cyberbahn.ca will help you to complete the incorporation process for either an Ontario or Federal corporation. Incorporated companies are also required to submit a mandatory filing called the Initial Return within 60 days of incorporating. Instead of wading through the paperwork yourself, you can comply effortlessly and quickly by filing it through Cyberbahn.ca.
